The actor Pierce Brosnan pleaded guilty on Thursday to hiking in a restricted thermal area of Yellowstone National Park in November, and was ordered to pay a total of $1,500, according to U.S. District Court records in Wyoming. As part of a plea deal, Mr. Brosnan, 70, who called into the court hearing by phone and reversed a not-guilty plea he had entered in January, was ordered to pay a fine of $500 and make a $1,000 donation to Yellowstone Forever, a nonprofit partner of the park, according to court documents. Under the deal, another charge that Mr. Brosnan had faced, of violating closures and use limits, was dismissed by U.S. Magistrate Judge Stephanie A. Hambrick, court records show. Karl Knuchel, a lawyer for Mr. Brosnan, did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Thursday.

“Pierce Brosnan would come on his own and say, ‘What should I drink?’” Mr. Field recalled. “They sent a lovely letter back that read, ‘Once you have done hotel school, please don’t hesitate to contact us,’” he said. He saved his money to attend the Ferrandi hotel school on the Left Bank of Paris. It was there, in the “dungeonlike basement bar,” Mr. Field said, that he first met Ms. Moss, with Johnny Depp, her boyfriend at the time. For men only, the Ritz Bar was where Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald famously drank their way through the Roaring Twenties.

“GoldenEye 007,” a classic first-person shooter made for Nintendo 64 in 1997, is being revived for Nintendo Switch and Xbox more than 25 years later. For fans who subscribe to additional content on both gaming systems, the game will be available on Friday. The Xbox version has been “faithfully recreated and enhanced,” said one ad for the re-release, while the Switch game features an online multiplayer mode. The return of “GoldenEye 007,” often referred to as one of the greatest video games of all time, has been years in the making. Now, Rare, the game’s original developer, has recreated it for Xbox with “a few modern touches,” while Nintendo is re-releasing the original on its Switch console.
DC Films’ latest release into the endless superhero pantheon, “Black Adam,” has a lot riding on Dwayne Johnson’s muscled shoulders. Black Adam, one of the regularly scheduled villains in the comic book, was supposed to be his main antagonist. And while “Black Panther” did a great job of making its bad guy both a certifiable badass and a nuanced character, “Black Adam” fails miserably. “Black Adam” has an interesting inkling of an idea: an oppressed culture that needs to overthrow the invading white men. But the midcredit sequence in “Black Adam” unfortunately suggests studio leaders are committed to making the same mistakes all over again.

"Black Adam," which premieres Friday, did not impress critics, generating a meager 53% on Rotten Tomatoes from 102 reviews as of Thursday afternoon. Puchko noted that "Black Adam" rushes through the introductions of Cyclone, Atom Smasher, Hawkman and Doctor Fate "so quickly that it's actually comical." Pierce Brosnan and Dwayne Johnson star in Warner Bros.' "Black Adam." Dwayne Johnson is Black Adam in Warner Bros.' newest DC film "Black Adam."
CNN —“Black Adam” features a protagonist of almost unlimited power, which only makes its puny script more conspicuous. There’s simply no getting around the clunkiness of the dialogue, or the sense “Black Adam” overestimates the character’s appeal. Times being what they are, playing an actual superhero represents an inevitable addition to Johnson’s action resume, and “Black Adam” (setting aside “DC’s League of Super-Pets”) checks off that box. “Black Adam” premieres October 21 in US theaters and is rated PG-13. DC and Warner Bros., which is distributing the movie, are units of Warner Bros.
CNN —Did Dwayne Johnson just reveal a “Black Adam” spoiler? Johnson stars as the villain in the film alongside Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Aldis Hodge and Pierce Brosnan, but teased another possible big name. Johnson continued: ‘So, for years, audiences have been so passionate and vocal about – we’ve established Black Adam as the most powerful and unstoppable force on our planet. “Black Adam” is set for release on Oct. 21. It is a Warner Bros. Pictures film, which like CNN is part of Warner Bros.

(CNN) A new trailer for "Black Adam" hints at a switch up for Dwayne Johnson's character. Johnson plays Teth Adam, who In ancient Kahndaq "was bestowed the almighty powers of the gods. After using these powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned, becoming Black Adam." "Nearly 5,000 years have passed and Black Adam has gone from man, to myth, to legend," the description on the trailer reads. But is Black Adam a villain or a super hero?

De-a lungul existenței, telescopul a făcut posibile nenumărate descoperiri științifice: a explorat pulsarii, ne-a dezvoltat cunoștințele despre Mercur, a reperat exoplanete și a detectat impulsuri radio rapide. Oamenii de știință au folosit telescopul pentru a capta unde radio din spațiu, posibile semne ale vieții extraterestre, precum și pentru a studia planete îndepărtate și a identifica asteroizi potențial periculoși.
